Project management is generally regarded as an organizational or business concept, and it is true that the techniques of project management is usually applied to “large” projects of a company. For example, installing a new accounting system (or should) be managed as a project to design and build a new plane would be managed as a project, a major restructuring of a company or organization must be managed as a project.
Before I had my own business, I was involved in project management in several very different projects. These experiences were invaluable, and each project is very complex in its own right, and many people in many departments and disciplines. Their daily work lives were to change its working methods should be amended. And the technical, administrative, organizational, financial and practical aspects of each project, the change had to be managed.
One thing that is always present in every project is the personal element. The success of a project does not only depend on the detailed planning and execution. There will always depend on the people effected and the people of the project team as these two groups of people interact is also critical, and especially how the project team with concerns or even outright opposition, from individuals or groups of people deal that will be directly effected by the project after completion.
From observation and experience, the “human element” of a project is not managed well; the project is delayed in danger or even total failure. Thus, the parties should be seen as part of the project. For this reason I want to spend as much time as project manager, in dealing with staff in building the project is effected, as I would with team members and the technical issues and strategy.
It is because this experience I have used to knock the idea of managing projects and people nearby. Then I began to wonder if, in a situation outside the project, people could use the techniques of project management principles and to manage key aspects of his personal life.
My thoughts revolved around the personal success came when an ambitious man had a vision of success, not take them, the vision, process planning as a project that is needed to achieve this vision, then implement this project the same way, the company had a project to install a new computer? After all, a new computer system started as a vision of someone within the company or organization.
At least some lessons can help in project management, a person who has the will to win, you can always bring success. The path to the ultimate success that can be divided into different elements, such as installing a new computer system can.
